Globe Dye Factory | Photos

Almost two years ago to the date, Joe Saksa, Dave King and I explored the Globe Dye Factory in Philadelphia with our buddy Brockner. Brockner has his metal design shop set up next door to the abandoned factory that once housed a yarn dying company, allowing us easy access to the dilapidated building. Once inside, we were discovering new and interesting sites with each exit from one room into the next. Some of the areas were rotting and decaying, while others where being revamped to house new businesses. The colors in the place were unbelievable. We eventually reached the roof, where the old sign sat overlooking the outskirts of Philly. After a bit more wandering, we found the exit, said our goodbyes, and Joe and I drove back to Brooklyn. We talked about wanting to find similar places in NYC to explore, which we never really did aside from Fort Tilden, but that doesn't mean we never will. Below is a selection of photos from the day.
